Browns sign Garrett, Brantley  BEREA, Ohio–There will be no holdout of the No. 1 overall pick.
As it used to be, the top pick in the NFL Draft usually held out for the majority of training camp and sometimes beyond. However, with the new slotted salaries for draft picks, the Browns were able to sign Myles Garrett, the overall No. 1 pick.
They also signed sixth-round pick Caleb Brantley (185th overall).
The Browns have now signed seven of their 10 2017 draft picks, including DL Larry Ogunjobi (third round), DB Howard Wilson (fourth round), OL Rod Johnson (fifth round), K Zane Gonzalez (seventh round) and RB Matthew Dayes (seventh round).
Garrett played in 34 career games at Texas A&M, finishing with 31 sacks, 141 tackles and seven forced fumbles. He was a two-time first-team All-American, unanimous consensus All-American in 2016 and a two-time All-SEC first-team selection (2015-16) and All-SEC second-team in 2014.
Brantley played in 38 career games at Florida, making 22 starts and had 81 tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He earned All-SEC second-team honors in 2016. Brantley had battery charges dismissed earlier this week.
The Browns signed two more draft picks, including the No. 1 overall pick, Myles Garrett
